Fairfield Country Day School is a pre-K through 9th grade private boys’ school founded in 1936. In 2012, the school embarked on an expansion project which included the restoration of the exterior of the Bronson House, the school’s main building, which houses both offices and classrooms. Alpine was hired by the general contractor, C.E. Floyd of Bedford, MA, to restore over 70 original windows. The schedule was critical since the entire project needed to be done over the summer break, in time for September’s opening. In addition, the young ages of the students brought about a heightened sensitivity for environmental safety when dealing with the lead paint covering the windows.
