The Challenge

Founded in 1778, Phillips Academy is a 9th through 12th grade prep school for both boarding and day students. The Fuess House, an on campus combined residence for faculty and students, is a large, 2 story masonry building built in 1962 that needed lead abatement work.

How We Shaped The Solution

Alpine was asked to complete the lead abatement work in a 7 room faculty apartment which consisted of stripping and encapsulation of wood trim. In order to accommodate the student re-occupancy schedule, Alpine completed the interior in two weeks. In addition, exterior work involved stripping critical surfaces of over 70 doors and windows and preparing the building for finish painting. A straightforward project, Alpine was in and out without any issues or delays.
